Prom Week Spirit Ideas

Posted by Stumps Spirit on March 23, 2011

Gear up for prom with spirit week, get students fired up with pride for their school, and have fun with specific themes designated for each day during the week of prom. Promote the themes ahead of time so students have time to plan and prepare to join in and participate on these fun days. Below are some suggested fun prom week spirit ideas:

Crazy Hair Day
Crazy hair day is a spirit week favorite because it gives them a good reason to try something crazy with their hair. For those students that don’t want to use their actual hair, there are some fantastic spirit wigs that will give them the desired crazy effect.

Bandanna Day
Instead of the typical hat day, have a bandanna day. Bandannas are fun and versatile because they can be worn multiple ways on your head, your arm, your leg, or your ankle. Tie dye bandannas are vibrant and come in multiple color choices. They can even be imprinted in white with your school name, mascot, year, or prom theme.

Spirit Face Paint Day
Let students decorate their faces with spirit face paint. Get face paints in your school colors! These face paints are easy to write and draw with and they are also easy to wipe off after the festivities are over.

Twin Day
Wear school spirit apparel for twin day. Provide custom mascot t-shirts and custom mascot jerseys for students to buy and wear as matching outfits and to show their school spirit.

Spirit Bling Day
School spirit beads are a fun way to wear your school spirit and show off some bling.

Try to get as many people to participate in spirit week as possible by advertising the days and recruiting other people to help you get the word out!
