Summer Camp Fundraisers for Kids

Posted by Stumps Spirit on May 8, 2012

It’s summertime, and that means camp for thousands of kids all across the country!  This exciting time means new adventures, new friends, and new experiences.   Stumps Spirit Lines can help create the charged atmosphere for your camp experience that leaves the kids wanting to return again next year!

Pennants can not only attract attention, but choosing different colors can help kids know where their cabin or their group is meeting. Drape them near meeting places or use them to help guide kids along a path.

A personalized sticker or photo button can sort the kids into their teams, leading to quick and easy identification.  The button can be worn by the kids or placed on hats, backpacks, and more.

Get all excited during camp contests or carnivals and show your support for your team by using face paint.  These paints wash off easily and come in a multitude of colors.  Paint a paw print, a butterfly, a stripe, or your entire face!

Every kid gets hot and sweaty during summer camp, and a small personalized towel is the way to take care of that and also makes a great souvenir.  Choose from team towels or sport towels in the camp colors.  Every time they use the towel they will be promoting your camp.

And of course no camp is complete without noisemakers!  Buy spirit clappers or imprinted spirit stix personalized with the camp name to distract the opposing team and to remind each participant of the fun they had at camp.

Camp Promotional Items Children Adore

Posted by Stumps Spirit on March 21, 2011

Kids all over the country will be attending camps of all kinds this summer! These kids are full of energy, excitement, enthusiasm for life and for being in a camp setting. When it is time to go home at the end of camp, kids want to take something with them as a souvenir of their time at camp. Promotional items are perfect for giving away to campers as prizes, or selling them at your camp store. Here are some camp promotional items children adore:

Kids love to not only wear buttons on their shirts, but it is also popular to pin buttons on backpacks, sports bags, purses, hats, and more. There are several great customizable buttons to choose from including:
Spirit buttons, 3” imprinted metallic buttons, photo buttons, and personalized full color buttons.

Custom kickballs, imprinted mini sports balls, and even CD cases shaped like sports balls are a cool prize or souvenir for kids to have from camp. Put your camp name and logo on the balls for kids to enjoy!

Inflatable Thunder Sticks
Kids love to make noise, and these inflatable thunder sticks are just the things to help them raise the roof! Choose from a variety of imprintable thunder sticks to add your camp name, theme, or logo on the noisemakers.

Spirit Clickers
Another fun noisemaker that kids love to use is a spirit clicker. Choose from red, yellow, blue, green, white, or orange for this great plastic noisemaker and then select an imprint color for adding your own wording.

Wherever there are kids, there are kids with rubber wristbands on their arms. One of their favorite custom bracelets will be from camp. Wristbands are great motivators as a reward for achieving a goal, a prize for winning a contest, or a popular souvenir at the camp store.

Camp is fun, lively, and the campers are sure to go home filled with lots of memories. Send the kids home with items that will help promote your camp and remind them to invite their friends next time they sign up for your camp.

Cheer Camp Survival

Posted by Stumps Spirit on June 28, 2010

Are you getting ready for cheer camp – and all the practices, squad bonding and even nerves that go with it? Don’t let those nerves get in the way! We’re here to help you prepare for a week of training and fun you’ll never forget!

  • Prepare your body physically for camp practices and training. Do some running, aerobics and stretching. Keep working on your tumbling and stunts. This will build up your stamina, flexibility and strength so you are ready for your workouts. It will also give you the energy you need to make it through the week!

  • Learn how to use your voice. With all the cheering you’ll be doing, you don’t want to strain your vocal chords! Yell from your diaphragm, not your throat, to increase volume and projection. Also, practice emphasizing “key” words in each cheer to keep from becoming monotone.

  • If the squad is a new one, get to know them a little before camp by having a sleep-over or going out to dinner. This will start the bonding process and help relax you during camp time!

  • Be prepared to listen, take notes and pay attention. If you have questions, ask them. You’ll only get out of camp what you’re willing to put into it. If your camp offers contests or competitions, try to enter as many as you can. This will help you learn to perform in front of other people and compete as a team. Don’t take criticism personally, if you have an attitude, leave it at home. Be open to suggestions and new ideas.

  • Take a look at our camp checklist, below. Feel free to print it out. You don’t want to leave anything behind, especially your camera!
