Posted by Stumps Spirit on March 21, 2013

Sports Water BottlesPersonalized Photo BannersThe final year of high school is rich with memories. We’ve got some outstanding examples of how you can make Senior Sports Night memorable for the class of 2013.

Welcome the seniors and their families with Personalized Vertical Banners showing pictures of your school’s athletes in action.  Create a life size stand up from a picture of their freshman year or a giant 3-foot Big Head Cutout of their face for friends and family to wave when they are being honored.

You will also want to include a goodie bag filled with both fun and keepsake items such as personalized water bottles, key chains with the team photos. Personalized items create a memorable token for your seniors.  Let your imagination run wild with Do It Yourself treat bags that you can fill with either candy or healthy snacks. Or both! Make Senior Night for the class of 2013 one that they’ll be talking about in 2023 at their 10-year reunion!

High School Senior Spirit Ideas

Posted by Stumps Spirit on April 10, 2012

For three long years, students have their eyes on their final year of high school. Senior year is a huge deal for all high school students. There’s homecoming, prom, senior awards, sporting events, performing arts events, and finally, there’s graduation. No matter what a student is involved in, Senior year is the year to be proud, and there are many ways Seniors can show their spirit.

Football Fan Fun

While everyone else at the game may have the school mascot temporarily tattooed on their faces, Senior can stick out from the underclassmen with these Seniors EyeBlacks. The under eye tattoos have the word “Seniors” on them and are 1-1/2 inches wide. Even the Senior football players might find it fun to wear these on game night!

Be Bold in Beads

Any outfit Senior year can be jazzed up with graduation beads. Purchase these beads in your school colors and see them at sporting events and maybe even graduation! Necklaces are 19 inches long and come in packages of 12.

Wild about Wristbands

Seniors love to stand out in the crowd. Any of these personalized wristbands will help them do just that! Anything that is available to Seniors, and Seniors only, makes an accessory that much cooler. Underclassmen will be envious of the personalized wristbands worn by their upperclassmen peers.

Cool Car Flags

As Seniors cruise around town, to and from school events and even out of town, they will love showing their Senior pride with a custom mascot car flag. These white polyester flags can be imprinted with a design and wording in any standard color. Let your Seniors be proud of their class and proud of their school as they parade the flags around wherever they go!

Hip in Hats

It might not scream “Senior” right away, but once the rest of the school starts seeing Seniors in funny hats at school events, they will soon spot Seniors from a mile away! By having Seniors wear the same style of hat, it will give them a sense of unity. There are lots of funky hats to choose from. Find one that suits your seniors best!

Tips for Choosing Colors for Your School Event!

Posted by Stumps Spirit on February 11, 2008

School Event Color OptionsWhile you are finalizing your theme choice, you will naturally begin to consider the theme colors that will coordinate with your choices. Once a theme is finalized, this is another decision that will need to be made!

This decision is a little easier to make (there are only so many colors out there!), but it should still be made carefully, because it will determine how easy or difficult the task of decorating will be.

There are really only two main things to consider:
1. Do these colors go with our theme? Do they bring out the strengths of the theme, and coordinate with our ideas of an elegant evening, or will they clash and make coordination difficult?
2. Are they easy colors to find? Too many planning committees forget to think about the fact that the most popular colors are popular for a reason. In trying to be unique, you might just create a decorating nightmare for yourself. Browse through our Homecoming Catalog and look at the different decorations you will need. What colors are they available in? Don’t limit your decorating options by choosing unusual and hard-to-find colors.
Depending on your theme, certain colors may just seem natural. Here are a few timeless suggestions:
• Celestial themes – blue and metallic gold or blue and metallic silver
• City themes (Paris, London, NYC) – black, white, and metallic gold or silver
• Underwater themes – various shades of blue, green, and metallic gold or silver
• Park and garden themes – green and white
• Ballroom themes – black, red, white, black and silver and black and gold
• Medieval themes – red, gray, black, and white
• Hollywood theme – black and gold or silver

• Cinderella and Fairy Tale themes – pastel blue, white and silver
• Luau themes – green, yellow, blue and hot pink
• Nautical themes – navy blue, red and white

And, you may want to keep these traditional color meanings in mind:
• Red – love, passion, respect, courage
• White – innocence, purity, secrecy
• Yellow – joy, friendship
• Coral – desire
• Light pink – grace, gladness, joy, perfect happiness
• Dark pink – thankfulness
• Lavender – love at first sight, enchantment
• Purple- royalty, nobility
• Orange – fascination
